“No, I will not let you go anywhere near that town, it is to far away and how will I know if your in trouble or not, even with friends its not safe enough, I will not let you go!” Mum screeched,
“Fine, If that’s the way you like it, I…I will run away." I stalked out of the house in a fury, my mother was so infuriating, why does she always have to be so overprotective, I was 16, old enough to be able to go out of the house with friends for one night, nothing would happen to me, but why did she not believe me? I was running toward the dense forest, it was my sanctuary; I always went there when I was upset or needed to get away.
“BELLE” I heard my name being called, it was my Dad he was going to try and reason with Mum, I doubt it would work.
“Belle, come back here, don’t go running off in to the forest now, it will be dark soon.” He reasoned, but I kept running and his voice was getting fainter. I guessed I was heading in the direction of the quagmire, it was dangerous there but I didn’t care, I just ran. The forest was beautiful and quiet, like always and I usually appreciated it more than this but I was to angry to notice much, so naturally I stumbled upon a rock, I stood up brushed my self off and concentrated on letting my breathing slow down to normal. I was almost calm again when I heard a rustling sound, it was different to the normal sounds of the forests, it was more treacherous. I thought I saw something scamper along the ground behind me, I jumped and span around but nothing was there. I was nervous, there was a dangerous feeling in the air, like something shady was going on here. I walked forward carefully, looking over my shoulder every now and then. I came to the stream that I sometimes sat by, it was flowing fast today; I jumped across it and landed on the squelchy ground opposite. Something splashed behind me and I twirled, frightened, but it was just a frog swimming frantically in the water. I started walking again, when a butterfly fluttered by me and I jumped six feet. Stupid, stupid, stupid, I shouldn’t have come this far, I should just turn around and make my way back home, I slowly made my feet walk back in the direction to home, this was a bad idea. I prepared my self to jump across the river, I ended up further up stream and this part was wider and deeper. I jumped and made it to the other side but I slipped on the damp dirt, I screamed as I fell in to the freezing river. It swept me down stream, and I clawed my way to the edge of the river but the current was to strong, I felt something crawling up my leg, I pulled one off and looked at it, it was a leech. I hit something in the river so fast that it winded me, a rock it had to be, I needed to stay conscious but my eyes were getting heavy. I was almost gone when I felt someone pull me out of the water, I tried to open my eyes and see my rescuer but everything went dark…
